The Shape of Punk to Come, Swedish hardcore act REFUSED's last release, is considered a piece of modern art in the punk/hardcore scene. The band's last album, which is also considered their best and most definitive, is such an experimental yet powerful hardcore punk album, and is also considered one of the first real post-hardcore albums. The album combined elements of hardcore punk, experimental rock and alternative metal with unsual progressive-like time signatures and jazz breakdowns. Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows (1996)

ZAKK WYLDE is one of the best known American heavy metal guitarists, especially as he has been the lead guitarist for OZZY OSBOURNE's band for the last 20 years, and although playing with Ozzy during the time (and before forming his heavy metal band BLACK LABEL SOCIETY), Zakk released Book of Shadows, to date his only solo album under his own name. Book of Shadows shows a different side of Zakk Wylde, as it follows more the southern rock direction of his previous band PRIDE & GLORY. The album incorporates elements from southern rock, folk rock and hard rock, with a wider use of acoustic guitars, banjos, mandolins and harmonicas. Mostly, a very relaxed record for a mostly angry guitarist. The re-issue of the album includes a bonus CD with three previously unreleased tracks.
