AVENGED SEVENFOLD is an American heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California, US. The band started out as a metalcore/hardcore band in 1999, but decided to change its musical style after two albums, following singer M. Shadows' throat surgery which left him unable to scream like he did on the band's metalcore albums. With City of Evil, they switched their style to a more melodic hard rock/heavy metal, with such songs as the thrashy "Beast and the Harlot", the 80s influenced power ballad "Seize the Day", and one of the band's biggest hits: "Bat Country", fueled with a lot of cool guitar leads and solos by Synyster Gates.Tracklist:
