Billy Talent - Billy Talent (2003)

BILLY TALENT is a Canadian post-hardcore/punk rock formed in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada in 1993, under the name of Pezz, as a rapcore band. After releasing one independent indie rock album in 1998, that became fast a favorite among the Toronto indie scene, the band started moving into a more aggressive pop punk/punk rock music, eventually being signed by Atlantic Records and Warner Music Canada in late 2002, which led to the band's self-titled major label debut under the new name Billy Talent. Released in September 2003 and produced by Gavin Brown (Three Days Grace, Cancer Bats), the album became a mainstream hit with such hit singles such as "Try Honesty", "The Ex" and "River Below".
