ICED EARTH is one of the more popular power metal acts of the 90s. Their heavy music came to combine such different genres as power metal, thrash metal, progressive metal, speed metal, NWOBHM and even opera music. Their latest album, The Crucible of Man, released last September, is the second part of their Something Wicked Saga, which started with 2007's Framin Armageddon. Unlike the first album of this saga, this album features original vocalist Matthew Barlow on lead vocals once again after he left in 2003 to be replaced by Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex-Judas Priest singer), and returned in 2007, prior to the recording of the album. Although given mostly positive reviews, the album wasn't considered as strong as its first part, even though it features original vocalist Barlow.Tracklist:
