THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN is a popular American experimental progressive mathcore band, formerly a hardcore punk act, from New Jersey. The band is known for its energetic wild live shows and unique avant-garde music, combing influences from hardcore punk, metalcore, progressive metal and more. In 2000, the band started recording its first EP without singer Dimitri Minakakis, before finding a replacement. Eventually, Greg Puciato joined as the vocalist in 2001, but the band released the planned album only in 2002 as an EP with lead vocals handled by the one and only Mike Patton, of FAITH NO MORE and MR. BUNGLE fame. The 4 track experimental EP which was co-written with Mike Patton featured a much more electronic sound, including a cover of "Come to Daddy" by APHEX TWINS.Tracklist:
