Papa Roach - Metamorphosis (2009)

PAPA ROACH is back, and with their new album Metamorphosis the band takes another step into the world of melodic hard rock/post-grunge, rather than the band's old heavy alternative metal sound from Infest and the last album The Paramour Sessions where the band got back to that heavy sound. The new album takes pretty much the direction of 2004's Getting Away with Murder. Fueled by the lead single "Hollywood Whore", the album was produced by Jay Baumgardner (Godsmack, Helmet, Drowning Pool).

Bullet for My Valentine - Scream Aim Fire (2008)

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's second full-length studio album, Scream Aim Fire, a much more hard rock/heavy metal feel to the band's sound rather than the thrash/metalcore sound of the first album. With less screaming, more melodic hard rock touchs and singing, the band's second album proves to be also hard-hitting with some heavier thrash metal hits such as the first self-titled single "Scream Aim Fire". Produced once again by Colin Richardson (God Forbid, Chimaira), the album also features the hit ballad "Hearts Burst Into Fire" and the hardcore thrash song "Waking the Demon", one of the band's most successful singles.
This release of the album features the whole album, including all bonus tracks and b-sides (Japanese version, Limited edition, iTunes edition, SD-card release, etc.), plus the 3 additional tracks from the album's Deluxe Edition.

Avenged Sevenfold - Avenged Sevenfold (2007)


AVENGED SEVENFOLD has returned. Their fourth self-titled studio album follows their last one City of Evil in the more melodic hard rock/heavy metal direction, rather than the band's old metalcore sound. The album sees the band experimenting with a lot of different styles including country on the track "Dear God" and theatrical show music in "A Little Piece of Heaven", the band's longest and most ambitious work to date, featuring sections with arrangements of horn and wind instruments. There are also a use of many different instruments like violins on some tracks, fueled by Synyster Gates' crazy licks and solos.

Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil (2005)

AVENGED SEVENFOLD is an American heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California, US. The band started out as a metalcore/hardcore band in 1999, but decided to change its musical style after two albums, following singer M. Shadows' throat surgery which left him unable to scream like he did on the band's metalcore albums. With City of Evil, they switched their style to a more melodic hard rock/heavy metal, with such songs as the thrashy "Beast and the Harlot", the 80s influenced power ballad "Seize the Day", and one of the band's biggest hits: "Bat Country", fueled with a lot of cool guitar leads and solos by Synyster Gates.

Bullet for My Valentine - Hand of Blood (2005)

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's major label debut, entitled Hand of Blood, was the band's first release to be released worldwide, including in the US through Trustkill Records. The EP's tracklist was exactly the same as the band's first self-titled EP from 2004, although with a different song order. The EP featured the band's first hit single, the title track "Hand of Blood" and included also "4 Words (To Choke Upon)" and "Cries in Vain", both of which were later feautred on the band's full-length album The Poison.

SR-71 - Here We Go Again (2004)

SR-71 were a pop punk/alternative rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. The band recieved mediocre success in 2000 thanks to their pop punk hit "Right Now", mistaken many times to be a Sum 41 song. After their second album, Tomorrow, failed to meet the success of the debut album Now You See Inside, the band was dropped by their label - RCA Records. Their third and last album before going on hiatus in 2007, was Here We Go Again, which was released on the Japanese Crown Japan label in Japan only, and was available in the US only through imports. The album was produced by Mitch Allan himself and features a cover of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes", and a Guns N' Roses tribute song called "Axl Rose".

Paddock Park - With False Hope (2007)

PADDOCK PARK is a young post-hardcore band from Ocala, Florida, United States. Influenced by mostly post-hardcore, hardcore punk and metalcore music, the band was formed in 2007, and their music features a combination of screaming, brutal breakdowns and catchy melodies, combining both screamed vocals and melodic vocals, sounding very similar to mates A DAY TO REMEMBER, who ironically come from the same town of Ocala. With False Hope is the band's debut release, released in late 2007, with all songs later re-recorded, mixed & mastered for the band's full-length album debut on Eulogy Records.

BILLY TALENT is a Canadian post-hardcore/punk rock formed in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada in 1993, under the name of Pezz, as a rapcore band. After releasing one independent indie rock album in 1998, that became fast a favorite among the Toronto indie scene, the band started moving into a more aggressive pop punk/punk rock music, eventually being signed by Atlantic Records and Warner Music Canada in late 2002, which led to the band's self-titled major label debut under the new name Billy Talent. New Found Glory - Not Without a Fight (2009)

NEW FOUND GLORY is an American pop punk band from South Florida. Since forming in 1997, the band have earned a cult following, so far releasing five studio albums, two covers album, one EP and one greatest hits compilation. Their latest album, entitled Not Without a Fight was produced by former Blink-182 bassist/singer Mark Hoppus, and is their first on Epitaph Records. The Cure - 4:13 Dream (2008)

THE CURE has became one of the most popular alternative/post-punk acts of the 70s and 80s, changing from their post-punk/new wave image of the 70s into more of a goth rock sound in the 80s, into a very electronic alternative rock in the 90s. Active since 1976 and until present day, 4:13 Dream is the band's thirteenth studio album, relased in late October 2008, after many delays. Originally, intended to be a double album of both upbeat and dark songs, the idea was scrapped and frontman Robert Smith stated that the upbeat songs were the ones making this album, while the darker songs will probably be released on a different album in the future.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony Is a Dead Scene (2002)

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN is a popular American experimental progressive mathcore band, formerly a hardcore punk act, from New Jersey. The band is known for its energetic wild live shows and unique avant-garde music, combing influences from hardcore punk, metalcore, progressive metal and more. In 2000, the band started recording its first EP without singer Dimitri Minakakis, before finding a replacement. Eventually, Greg Puciato joined as the vocalist in 2001, but the band released the planned album only in 2002 as an EP with lead vocals handled by the one and only Mike Patton, of FAITH NO MORE and MR. BUNGLE fame. The 4 track experimental EP which was co-written with Mike Patton featured a much more electronic sound, including a cover of "Come to Daddy" by APHEX TWINS.

Lamb of God - Wrath (2009)

LAMB OF GOD is an American groove metal band from Richmond, Virginia, known as one of the leading bands of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal movement. Their fifth studio, and fourth under the current name LAMB OF GOD, is entitled Wrath and is a direct follow up to their latest effort - 2006's Sacrament, which was more of a departure towards a Panetra-style groove metal/metalcore rather than the band's roots as a death/thrash band. The album was described by band members, as more raw and aggressive than Sacrament.

Chris Cornell - Scream (2009)

CHRIS CORNELL is an American singer-songwriter best known as the frontman of popular grunge band SOUNDGARDEN in the 90s and the 00s alternative rock act AUDIOSLAVE. Since leaving and disbaning AUDIOSLAVE in 2007, Cornell started working solo and releasing his second solo album Carry On in late 2007. The album, released to mainly negative reaction, included the song "You Know My Name" from the James Bond Casino Royale movie soundtrack, and a rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" song. Since then, Cornell went on into another direction while teaming up with hip-hop producer Timbaland for his third studio album - Scream. The result is a very different album that combines alternative rock with contemporary R&B with elements of psychedelia, pop music, dream pop and hip-hop influenced beats, synths and drum machines.
